REISSUE OF THE 1991 ALBUM A GRUNGEABILLY GARAGE HORROR ROCKER

1991 Exactly when Mainstream Tekkno took over the Whole world and on the other hand Grunge and heroin groove oriented Punk rock Kicked in the Monsters released thier 2nd Studio Album the Hunch ( a tribute title for hasil adkins) , everybody told them to make good recordings no trash crap so they thought to do a proper production and went to a proper good recording studio to have a fat sound ( for the 1st and last time)... anyway the studio was way to expencive for poor teenage punk rockers the Monsters so they only could afford recording on side of the record in a proffessinal way the 2nd side they recorded Live with Sam from the Radioations and Jimi ochsenbein at gig they did in 1991 at the ISC CLUB in bern their home town.
that Record was a Commercial Sucess for the band and set them on the Music map of the Music world ,the Album got lysenced and some songs released on other labels as well.. for example the Creature from the black lagoon got released by DIONYSUS RECORDS out of LOS ANGELES and they called their Style of music Grungeabilly
1990 - 1991 there was a change of drummers Pepe left the band ( he plays on the 1st side) and Di Putto ( tibu) who plays on the 2nd side

Recorded in 1994 With Robert Butler (Pantichrist) and Kat Allen (Reithalle Bern) this was the first Monsters Album With ELECTRIC BASS a stead of Stand Up Bass, and with a Wall of TRASHED OUT FUZZ Guitars, and it was a big turning point for the Band after releasing the more or less Pschobilly GARAGE oriented 'THE HUNCH (1991)' + 'MASKS (1989)' Yves (the Lead Guitarist) Left the band and they shrank into a TRIO and Beat-Man added a FUZZ BOX and LEVEL 13 to the guitar, the whole band was fed up of the Clean Studio Sound and decided to do everything at Home and rented a Recording machine (AKAI-1214) and recorded it in only 2 Days !!
Jungle Noise was original Released by Germany s Underground Label 'JUNGLE NOISE' in 1995 as a 10" Vinyl and some more tracks where released as 7" on other Labels, the Song 'it's not my way' was actually recorded for a Swiss Anti War Compilation, (STOP F/A-18) but it was not taken (to trash) after the release of that Album the Monsters went serious Touring Europe and made them self a household name in the European Underground Scene

Nestled centrally within landlocked Switzerland is the quaint town of Bern, a place where world leaders regularly meet, 12th century medieval architecture gracefully intersects modern designs, and the location where Einstein’s Theory of Relativity was originated. Class is a term synonymous with this town given its historical and cultural heritage but in the case of the chainsaw-on-steel sound of legendary Bernese garage punks, The Monsters, class is an irrelevant term to them. Thanks to COVID-19, the touring life of this Bernese super trash machine was put on halt and they used their newfound time to write and record the apocalyptic, hi-speed-boogie-fuzz-garage-trash-rock-n-roll songs you have in your hands here. A new album wasn’t enough for the quartet during the year; they were also contracted by Swiss film composer Mario Batkovic to assist in the soundtrack composition of a small horror opera, which will soon be announced.

The Monsters formed in 1986 in Bern, Switzerland as an alternative to the popular music of the time (i.e. Disco, Pop, Top 40 Rock). Mixing rockabilly with punk rock and garage, their brand of Teenage Primitive Rock n’ Roll Chainsaw Massacre Garage Trash has kept them as an in demand punk rock band touring the world playing festivals and large halls as far east as Japan, south as Brazil, north as Scandinavia, and west as New York City.
And then 2020 hit, YAHOO!!! The world went into a complete lockdown and everyone’s plans changed! With no touring in the near future, the time was now to write a new album so the band dedicated two weeks to going to their practice space to write new music and another two weeks at Bern’s Shirt Off Studio to record. Voila! Here you have Rosemary’s Baby in your hand: 13 raw, loud, and splatter sounding tracks recorded live on the fly with no overdubs, vocals only. Lyrically, the album is a complete disaster with 120 words comprising the whole thing and hell, the words on this LP sometimes don’t make any sense! It’s actually complete rubbish with how they sing but we love it! We love it so much that we decided to release it and pull in two other established labels to release it alongside us!
Sounds of Subterrania are releasing a special knitted cover limited edition and Slovenly Records are releasing the LP with all songs sung in Schwitzerdütsch, the band’s native tongue and official language of Switzerland. Outside of a couple million people, no one else speaks, it’s not even a written language, you only speak it, and barely anyone can learn it without knowing a native speaker! Anyway, Slovenly Records loved that idea, so they’re going with it.
Cover Artwork by Jerry Haenggli a Bern Surrealist Painter .. Anyway, you’re in for a treat if you’re reading this, so here we go. Hold onto your ears and lock your daughters away, The Monsters are on the loose!

This is a REISSUE of the 1997 album of the monsters with the same title and almost the same cover... there where only 1000 pressed that time and vinyl only , now we thought to make a reissue of this one and the first time on CD as well !!! for the recordings they where to London's Toe Rag Studios, and they where one of the first foreign band who recorded with liam watson .. and Josh Collins also shot a video clip in the studio for one song (Voodoo Love) send us a e-mail and we send out the clip..
The Monsters started in 1986 and Youth against nature was the album after 'Jungle Noise' in 1995, that means they passed already the Garage Punk Area and went into the voodoo Primitive Rock'n'Roll Garage Punk Trash Area ... with this album, with Cosmic Belly dance there's a fantastic sleazy strip number on it ant the only cover version of this album is 'züri brönnt' by Switzerland's punk rock legend TNT... the whole album still is a totally burner, the recordings are just fantastic and have the typical Toe Rag Sound, it's kind of that vintage sound liam has mixed with a fantastic drum sound... this is not a reissues like other reissues, it's still very up to date i thing and hits the right spot.. and still have some great songs on it. like the live classics : high heels and miniskirt' or burn my mind' or other songs that never did it to a live show like 'my mother told my'
recorded: Toe Rag Studios 1997
mastersed: Green wood Cover artwork: Merinuk
