Part man part wheel, Delaney Davidson is part wandering minstrel, part travelling salesman. One hand holds a small brown suitcase, his trade, his ghost orchestra, the other holds his guitar. One foot firmly in the blues trash corner of the ring, the other on the road, you could say Delaney sees music as he sees geography, and that although he has certain preferences, in fact all territories are up for grabs. 
Nothing embodies his spirit of floating work as ramblingly succinctly as the eternal tour he began in the beginning of the century and still continues today. Work that encompasses some ten years and several continents, countless shows and numerous releases. He has shared the bills with Underground Queen Holly Golightly, Cult legend Reverend Beatman, Radical Film-maker Miron Zownir, German Intellectual Franz Dobler, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Jack Oblivian, Bob Log III , Dr Quintron and T model Ford. 
Has it become a way of life for him?

Delaney Davidson; born northern island of New Zealand,1972, age 0. Shipped down to Christchurch in a shoe box at 5 months old after seeing the Rolling Stones play at 2 months old. Voted "Biggest Dreamer" in primary school, until he went to Special Dreamers School. Asked to leave Special Dreamers School after being suspended four times at the ripe old age of 14. Left New Zealand and migrated over the ditch to Australia to fail last year of school. Moved back to New Zealand and began his career in the Catering Industry, with training at the Rangiora Training Prison (R.T.P.), learnt to drink Whisky, and was fired from his first job as 2nd chef for urinating on the bar. Moved back to Australia after this eventful year, and started playing music in Bars. "Doghouse" with Nique Needles, Stu Thomas and Mark Di Marzio, soon morphed into the Groundbreaking Band "the Brass Bed". 2002 found him married and living in Bern Switzerland, where he met with "the Dead Brothers" and signed up. After enjoying the various successes of being a Voodoo Rhythm Artist and other projects (Delemmis Caravan Basement Band, the OTIACS, and Alpine Cretins) aswell as 7 years of swiss life, Delaney now spends half the year in his homeland of New Zealand and the other half touring. He has had to re issue his first solo album "Rough Diamond" and nearly sold out of his self released second album. He tours Solo with his Phantom Band,and has toured and played with "the Mysterious Tapeman", "the Reverend Beatman", "Possessed by Paul James", "G.Rag and los Hermanos Patchekos" and toured the United States in November/December 08 with Holly Go Lightly and the Brokeoffs. Delaney Davidson has nearly completed his Third Solo Tour of Europe, sharing the Bills of such auspicious pairings as British underground legend Holly Golightly and the reclusive Lawyer Dave, aswell as dark folk cult band Wovenhand, and completed his second tour of the U.S.A in June and July '09 where he was invited to attend the Wisconson Steel Bridge Song Festival and also to join the Reverend Beatman to tour the West Coast. He plans the release of his long awaited Voodoo Rhythm solo album (number three) in march 2010. With songs written and recorded around the world, (Wisconsin, San Fransisco, Wellington New Zealand, Berlin and Montebelluna Italy). He expects to release the Album titled "Self Decapitation" officially in march 2010, and plans a release tour including Switzerland, Holland, Germany, England, France, Italy and Romania. He will have a special pre release copy available for his 3rd tour of the USA October and November '09.....this time teaming up with maverick puppeteer Lax Laze before returning home to the heart of New Zealand over December through til Feb ...
