Welcome to wild wild weird world of DEGURUTIENI and his ONE MAN BAND. Spooky exotica burlesque toy junk Muzak Trash made with broken cassette desks and fucked up record players feat members of Acid Mother Temple in some songs. this is a compilation with older songs (self released and on tiny labels) and new ones that never got released before.. i thought its about time that the world learns about DEGURUTIENI (i had weeks until i was able to spell his name correctly hahaha) he is touring trough the whole world constantly (pre Covid-19) performs in regular concert halls as well in theatres, Art-galleries, or even on the street you see him once you never forget him and you leave with a big smile on your face and a question mark in your brain.
Alco Degurutieni was born in the Nishinari Ghetto’s of Osaka in the end 60’s (Alco Degurutieni: that time in the 1970s was a rough time for everybody once a month riots in the streets red lights of prostitution parlors and yakuza “mafia” were familiar to us every day. These memories of youthful chaos have been a catalyst for my Peter Pan Syndrome since then) Degurutieni creates harmony through juxtaposition, extracting melody from chaos and decadence from junk. At 13 he got his first boom box and became the best customer at his local rental record shop, working his way through all genres from the Beach Boys to Black Sabbath. From 16 he began to create his own songs using the only things he had access to; junk, altered children's toys, and a beat up right tape recorder. All of these still play an important role in his music production today.

Willkommen in der wilden obskuren und seltsamen Welt von DEGURUTIENI und seiner ONE MAN BAND. teuflisch exotischer Striptease Kinder Spielzeug Krach mit ausgedientes Tonbandgerät und zerbrochenen Plattenspielern mit Mitgliedern von ua Acid Mother Temple in einigen Songs.
Dies hier ist eine Zusammenstellung mit älteren Songs (selbst Veröffentlichungen und auf kleinst Labels) und viele neue Songs die noch nie vorher veröffentlicht wurden. Ich dachte, es ist an der Zeit, dass die Welt etwas über DEGURUTIENI erfährt (ich hatte Wochen, bis ich seinen Namen richtig buchstabieren konnte, hahaha ) Er tourt ständig durch die ganze Welt (pre Covid-19) und tritt in regulären Konzertsälen sowie in Theatern, Kunstgalerien oder sogar auf der Straße auf. wenn man ihn zum ersten mal sieht ist es eine Lebens Erfahrung die man nicht wider vergisst und es bleibt ein großes Lächeln im Gesicht und ein verzerrtes Fragezeichen in deinem Gehirn.
Alco Degurutieni wurde Ende der 60er Jahre im Nishinari Ghetto von Osaka geboren (Alco Degurutieni: Diese Zeit in den 1970er Jahren war eine harte Zeit für alle, einmal im Monat Unruhen auf den Straßen. Rot Licht viertel Prostitution und die Yakuza-Mafia waren uns vertraut. Diese Erinnerungen an ein jugendliches Chaos sind seitdem ein Katalysator für mein Peter-Pan-Syndrom.)
Degurutieni schafft Harmonie durch Gegenüberstellung, indem er ihnen Melodie aus Chaos und Dekadenz aus Abfall extrahiert. Mit 13 Jahren bekam er seine erste Boombox und wurde der beste Kunde in seinem örtlichen Leih-Platten und Trödler laden. Er arbeitete sich durch alle Genres von den Beach Boys bis zum Black Sabbath. Ab 16 Jahren begann er, seine eigenen Songs mit den einzigen Dingen zu kreieren, zu denen er Zugang hatte; Müll, umgebaute Kinderspielzeuge und ein ausgedientes Tonbandgerät. All dies spielt noch heute eine wichtige Rolle in seiner Musik.

Degurutieni stvara glazbu preko pokvarenih kazetofona i uništenih gramofona uz povremenu pomoć sastava Acid Mother Temple-a. Pišemo o kompilaciji njegovih starijih kompozicija objavljenih preko manjih diskografskih kuća, ali i o novim pjesmama koje nikada prije nisu bile pod diskografskom etiketom. Radio Falš, kao i Beat Zeller (The Monsters), smatra kako je krajnje vrijeme da svijet sazna više o Degurutieni-u. Prije Covid-19 situacije Degurutieni je konstantno svirao na svojim turnejama kojima je obilazio gotovo čitavi svijet. Koncertne hale, kazališta, galerije, pa čak i same ulice, što govori više od riječi koliko je sve što radi samo čista ljubav prema umjetnosti. Kažu da se poslije njegovih koncerata kući vraća s osmijehom na licu i velikim upitnikom na čelu. Zašto se tako govori o Degurutieni-u, barem mali dio probati ćemo objasniti u ovom članku. Alco Degurutieni rođen je krajem šezdesetih u četvrti Nishinari koja je geto grada Osake u Japanu. Svoje odrastanje u takvom okružju opisao je ovako: “Sedamdesete su bile teške. Svakog mjeseca neredi i nemiri na ulicama, “crvena svijetla” prostitucije i Yakuza bile su nam sve već dobro poznat pojam svakodnevice. Sjećanja na taj kaos u mladosti postale su katalizator koji je ubrzao moj put prema Petar Panovom Sindromu.” Degurutieni stvara harmoniju pomoću jukstapozicije, vadeći melodije iz kaosa i dekadencije “starudija”. Dobio je svoj prvi boom box kada je imao tek trinaest godina te je odmah postao najčešći kupac u lokalnoj prodavaonici ploča. Tamo je ploče iznajmljivao često i preslušavao glazbeni žanr po žanr, od The Beach Boysa pa do Black Sabbatha. Sa 16 godina počinje stvarati vlastitu glazbu koristeći sve ono do čega se mogao domoći, što su najčešće bile dječje potrgane igračke i isprebijani kazetofoni. Sve te i ostale “starudije” kojih se Degurutieni uspio domoći još uvijek igraju veliku ulogu u njegovom glazbenom stvaralaštvu. Evo što jedinstveni Beat Zeller (Voodoo Rhythm Records) kaže o Degurutieni-u: “Dva puta sam bio na turneji u Japanu s mojim sastavom The Monsters i znam koliko čudno tamo može biti za nas europljane. Netom sam upoznao Alco Degurutieni-a po prvi puta, na The Lugano Buskers-u (organizirali The Pussywarmers) u Švicarskoj. Nisam ga razumio jednu jedinu riječ ali smo svejedno započeli snimanje njegovog albuma. Bilo je dvostruko kompliciranije nego inače, kao prvo bili smo izgubljeni u prijevodu, i drugo – on snima SVE sa svojim telefonom, pa je tako zasebno prebacivanje tih snimka bilo naporno kao bolovi u zadnjici, da vam kažem… Hahaha… Ali eto, ovdje smo, i taj album je čudan kao što je i Degurutieni strašan, jeziv i šarmantan u pravom životu. Šarolikost albuma je toliko divna da bi se glazba mogla koristiti kao soundtrack za film ali i kao one-man-band glazba u Osakinim malim barovima… Oduševljeni smo albumom i nadamo se da ste i vi.” Na albumu Dark Mondo zaista se sakrivaju pravi hitovi. Pjesma “Acme in the Afternoon” mračno sjaji Tom Waits-ovim blues-jazz burlesknim stilom. Zatim mogli bi nadodati pjesmu “Blur Blur Blur” koja se predstavlja kao minimalistička blues kompozicija; ili nevjerojatnu pjesmu “Midnight Express” sa orijentalnim zabljeskom, ili pak “Dreaming Party” koja zvuči kao nešto iz psihodeličnog horror filma… Mnogo stvari ovdje je više nego vrijedno preslušati, stoga prestanite čitati, udobno se smjestite i uživajte uz Degurutienija i njegov fantastičan album “Dark Mondo” koji se, naravno, nalazi i na vašem jednom i jedinom – Radiju Falš.
